Just a few hours before the game against the Flyers, Bob Gainey has claimed Glen Metropolit from them off the waivers. The 34 years old centerman has 5 goals and 10 assists in 55 games this season with the Flyers. Bob Gainey says that he was looking for a center who can give more depth to the team and support other centermen such as Koivu, Plekanec, Lapierre and Chipchura. The occasion presented itself when the Flyers has put Metropolit on waivers. Bob said that Glen is an experience player that played very well against us in the playoffs last year with the Bruins and that the Canadiens are very happy to obtain his service.
