The Habs lose another against the Bolts

After very good first period dominated by the Habs, we end up losing a third game in a row. And again, its the Lecavalier-St.Louis duo who beats us once more. After cheering for them during the All-Star game, Habs fans are now frustrated to see them defeat the Canadiens in a 5-3 win. Other than the Bolts duo superstars, Mike Smith played an important role. He was extremely solid during the first period to keep the score to only 2-1, especially on that 3 against 1 break where he litteraly robbed Robert Lang from sure goal. The Bolts has also done a great job defending during the 2-man penality kill and didn't give much opportunity to the Habs to score. I would say that it was the turning point where the game was played. If the Canadiens could've capitalized on these chances in the first period, the score would've been 3-1, and the Lightnings would be out of the game. Instead, they retreated to the dressing room with only a one goal deficit and confidence. In the 2nd period, Lecavalier scored a quick goal for them to tie it and got the momentum going. After that, the Bolts got 2 lucky bounces and scored. The Habs couldn't get back into the game and were dominated by the Bolts. The next game, the Habs play against the Panthers on thurday night. It will be another though game to play for the players and a tough game to watch for us Habs fans. Let's hope we come out with the W.
