The Journal de Montreal have learned that BCE is willing to invest up to 60mil to help Serge Savard's consortium to purchase the Montreal Canadiens. Bell Canada is therefore trying to protect their television rights since BCE owns 15% of CTV globemedia which owns RDS. They are also trying to conserve their name on the Bell Center that they have purchased from Gillett for $100 million for a period of 20 years.
