Eklund has suggested that if the NY Islanders decided to select Hedman instead of Tavares, the Lightnings could possibly decide to trade John Tavares to the Predators. He explains that assuming the Canadiens are not willing to include Markov in the trade for Lecavalier and that both teams cannot agree on a deal. The Lightnings will have to look for another star defenseman elsewhere and consider trading John Tavares to Nashville for Shea Weber. Source
