CKAC has learned that Alex Tanguay's agent, Robert Sauvé, have spoken with GM Bob Gainey. According to Sauvé, the Montreal Canadiens told him that they have higher priorities to deal with right now, once this priority is dealt, they will discuss about Tanguay. The agent added that they did not mention if they were interested in Tanguay's or not.
Robert Sauvé told CKAC that the sale of the team doesn't bother Tanguay at all, it is much more important for him to know who is the GM and coach. He says that Alex Tanguay doesn't have a problem working under Jacques Martin or Bob Hartley. Full article here
