Serge Savard has told La Presse that his consortium will not be in the race to buy the franchise now that the Molson family is interested in buying the team. Savard said he has always been close to the Molson family and does not want to fight against them to obtain the team. Savard consider himself part of the Molson family. He also doesn't want to fight for nothing. He is now on the side lines.
